This year I finally began to experiment with a remote camera setup. The two instances thus far have been at NCAA Track and Field Championships and Prefontaine Classics. The results have been mixed, mainly due to human error, however each time I was able to walk away with a few images that I otherwise wouldn’t have. Having a remote camera has two advantages, primarily allowing photographer to place camera where he is otherwise not allowed to be present for whatever reason, and second advantage is of course being in two places at the same time. For a photographer who shoots solo there are a lot of possibilities and I look forward to exploring them.
